Skelmorlie is a town in North Ayrshire with elevated sea views. Glasgow is approximately 1 hour away by car, with public transport by train in the town or at Wemyss Bay. Although it is the northernmost settlement in the council area of North Ayrshire it is contiguous with Wemyss Bay, which is in Inverclyde.
