Stewarts Lodge was recently awarded the Visit Scotland 5 star Quality Assurance Award. This highly rated accommodation is in St Andrews, 4 miles from the University and the historic Cathedral. There are many things to do in St Andrews and in the surrounding area. St Andrews itself is famous for golf with 16 golf courses in the local area. St Andrews is renowned worldwide as the Home of Golf. There are now seven golf courses under the management of the St Andrews Links Trust, including the world famous Old Course, which will host the 2021 Open Championship. There are many other golf courses in the area including the new courses at St Andrews Bay and Kingsbarns, while the courses at Elie, Crail, Leven and Lundin Links are all within easy reach. St Andrews is very well known for its university which is one of the oldest in Britain, founded in 1410.
